This policy explains what information Boltboard collects, why, and how it’s handled. Boltboard is currently a small, independently operated project, and this policy will be updated as the product grows.

Information we collect

• Account information: the email address and password you provide when you sign up. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text.
• Content you create: workspaces, boards, lists, cards, checklists, and comments you add while using Boltboard.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type), collected for security and debugging purposes.
• Cookies: a small set of cookies required to keep you signed in (session/authentication tokens). We don’t use cookies for advertising.

How we use this information

• To provide the core functionality of the app, storing and displaying your workspaces, boards, and cards.
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
• To diagnose and fix bugs, using error-monitoring tools that may collect technical details about what went wrong (not the content of your cards).
• We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services

Boltboard relies on infrastructure providers (such as hosting and database providers) to operate. These providers process data on our behalf and don’t use it for their own purposes. As Boltboard adds new functionality, this section will be updated to reflect any new third-party tools that handle user data.

Data retention

We retain your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting contact.hnhcode@gmail.com.

Your rights

Children’s privacy

Boltboard is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.
